ENGAGEMENT

Brief description of the evaluation

This evaluation is being undertaken at the request of the Department of Veterans’ Affairs (DVA), through Queensland University of Technology (QUT), to evaluate DVA’s Treatment Cycle arrangements for allied health referrals and treatment. This evaluation is exploring the impacts, both positive and negative, of DVA’s treatment cycle arrangements on health professionals and DVA clients.

You are invited to participate in this evaluation because you are a key stakeholder in DVA activities and the wellbeing of DVA clients and health professionals. DVA have requested consultation with Ex-Service Organisations (ESO), Professional Associations and DVA Clinical Advisors on the implementation of the Treatment Cycle arrangements. Your feedback on the Treatment Cycle arrangements and its impacts on DVA clients and health professionals will provide valuable information to assist in the evaluation of these arrangements.

 

Your part in the evaluation

Your participation in this evaluation is entirely voluntary and there is no obligation to take part in the evaluation. Your decision to participate or not participate will in no way impact upon your current or future relationship with QUT or DVA.

Your participation will involve the following:

  • Answering four questions.

  • Answering these questions should take approximately 2-5 minutes to complete.

  • Alternatively, if you wish to discuss your opinion on the treatment cycle arrangements instead please contact the evaluation team by phoning Kerri-Ann on 07 3138 0737 or Louise on 07 3138 5885 

 

Risks of participating

There are no expected risks associated with your participation in this evaluation.

 

Privacy and confidentiality

Your answers will be completely confidential and any personal details, which may identify you in any way, will not be passed to DVA. Your answers will not in any way affect any pension, benefits or health services which you are entitled to from DVA or to which you may become entitled in the future.  

 

All data will be stored on a secure, password protected computer only accessible by the evaluation team. All data and recordings will be destroyed in seven years, as per QUT research protocols.

Please note that any personal data collected will be used for the purpose of this evaluation and no other, without your express permission.
